Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and process customs entries for lodgment in the BOC system.
- Ensure accuracy of tariff classification, customs valuation, and declaration details.
- Review shipment documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, permits, and supporting documents for customs processing.
- Perform and monitor customs entry lodgment and clearance processing activities.
- Coordinate with Bureau of Customs examiners, assessors, and customs personnel regarding shipment processing and clearance status.
- Monitor customs entry status, assessments, examinations, and shipment release timelines.
- Handle complex shipment declarations, alerts, discrepancies, amendments, and customs-related issues.
- Coordinate with Logistics Coordination Team regarding shipment readiness, documentation, and billing requirements.
- Coordinate with Regulatory & Compliance Affairs Team regarding permit and licensing requirements.
- Ensure shipments are processed within operational timelines and free storage periods.
- Monitor customs-related operational risks and escalate issues affecting shipment clearance.
- Review and validate work output of Junior Declarant Specialists.
- Provide operational guidance and technical support to junior team members.
- Maintain accurate customs processing records and operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with customs laws, regulations, company procedures, and operational standards.
- Assist management in process improvement and customs workflow standardization initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Customs Administration.
- Licensed Customs Broker is required.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2–4 years experience in customs declaration, customs brokerage, or clearance operations.
- Experience handling complex customs entries and customs processing is preferred.
